Born on May 20, 1958, in the village of Kopërnicë, Dardana. He completed his primary and secondary education in his hometown, while finishing the Technical Secondary School of Geodesy in Gjakova. In 1981, he graduated in Geodesy from the University of Belgrade. In 2018, he completed his Master’s studies in Geodesy at the Metropolitan University of Tirana.
Sabriu continued his professional development by completing a postgraduate course at the Albanian Diplomatic Academy in 2007. In 1982, he was licensed for Geodetic and Cadastral work by local institutions, and in 2010 he was also licensed by the Kosovo Cadastral Agency, maintaining re-licensing in subsequent years (2013, 2018, up to 2026).
Throughout his career, Sabriu has held various positions in institutions in Kosovo and abroad, including: 1974–1977 – Municipality of Dardana; 1978–1979 – Novi Grad, Croatia; 1981–1984 and 1990–2010 – teacher at Geodesy secondary schools in Prishtina and Ferizaj.
From 1984 to 1999, he served in various positions as a geodesist in the Municipality of Prishtina, continuing his engagement there until 2003. From 2005 to 2010, he was engaged in public service within local governmental institutions, including several ministries of the Government of Kosovo.
Sabriu is distinguished by his contributions to sports and cultural institutions in the country, such as the football club “Arbëria,” the boxing club “Gollaku,” and the Independent Association of Geodesists. Since 2021, he has been a member of the Advisory Board of the Faculty of Civil Engineering (FIN) as Vice Chair, and since 2025 he has served as Chairman of the Advisory Board of FIN, delegated by BAUINVEST CO, Prishtina.
