From March 17 to 21, 2025, 3 students from FCE’s Department of Environmental Engineering had the chance to follow an intensive training offered by Wetsus. In collaboration with Water4All, Wetsus offers a near all-inclusive 360° Water Experience for 50 lucky European students. They travelled to the capital of Water Technology – Leeuwarden, the Netherlands – to take part in a unique event to show the very best that water technology has to offer. Participants tackled a real-world water challenge, went on two engaging excursions, and gained inspiration directly from the innovative work happening at Wetsus. Our students were not only participants but also excelled during this training by winning both first and second place during the final challenge.

Wetsus, the European centre of excellence for sustainable water technology is a facilitating intermediary for trendsetting know-how development. Wetsus develops key enabling water technologies to foster a sustainable and fair society in a healthy and circular environment. The Water4All Partnership, cofounded by the European Union within the frame of the Horizon Europe programme, aims at enabling water security for all. It will boost systemic transformations and foster the matchmaking between problem owners and solution providers. Launched in June 2022, Water4All brings together a wide and cohesive group of 90 partners from 33 countries in the European Union and beyond.
